Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 3/4 cup bread flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Beat yolks of eggs thoroughly, add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition. Add lemon juice and rind and beat again. Mix flour, baking-powder, and salt, and sift together twice. Sift into egg mixture and beat three minutes. Fold in egg whites which have beaten until stiff. Bake in the oven for 55 minutes at 325 degrees.
