Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 square chocolate
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 egg whites
Instructions
- Cream sugar with melted butter and chocolate, add milk and beat thoroughly. Add egg yolks, vanilla, flour mixed with soda and boiling water. Reserve a small portion of flour to add after the boiling water, then beat until very smooth and light. Lastly, add beaten whites. This makes a large loaf cake. Bake in moderate oven for 40 minutes at 300 degrees.
