Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Marmalade
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs, milk, and sifted dry ingredients.
- Roll out to one-quarter inch thickness and cut with circular cutter.
- Place a tablespoon of marmalade on each half, wet edges, fold over and press together.
- Fry in deep fat for 3 minutes each at a fat temperature of 380 degrees.
