Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup hot mashed potato
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Add sugar, butter, and egg yolks to hot mashed potato, beat until light and smooth.
- Add milk, flour, baking-powder, salt, and vanilla.
- The dough should be as soft as can be handled.
- Cut in strips and twist for crullers.
- Fry in deep fat for 3 minutes each at a fat temperature of 380 degrees.
