Stuffed Tomatoes, Baked

Ingredients
- 6 medium sized tomatoes
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cold cooked chicken or veal
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 cup buttered crumbs
Instructions
- Wipe the tomatoes and remove a thin slice from the stem end. Remove the pulp.
- Mix with the soft bread crumbs, meat, and seasoning. Refill the tomato shells and sprinkle the tops with buttered crumbs.
- Place in a baking pan and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, until the tomato is cooked. Nuts may be used instead of the finely chopped meat.
