Squirrel Potatoes

Ingredients
- 1 quart mashed sweet potato
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly, shape into croquettes, dip in egg, then in crumbs, and fry in deep fat. Or pack into a shallow pan, cut in small squares, and saute on a hot, lightly greased griddle. Servings, 6.
