Potato Spoon Bread

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup corn meal
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup mashed potatoes
- 1 tablespoon shortening
Instructions
- Mix the corn meal, salt, and water, and boil five minutes.
- Beat eggs slightly, add milk, mashed potatoes, and shortening.
- Combine with mush mixture.
- Beat well and bake in a greased baking dish in a moderate oven. Serve from the same dish with a spoon. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 325 degrees.
