Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar or white sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sweet milk
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Cream sugar and shortening together and add alternately beaten eggs and milk, and dry ingredients sifted together. Add vanilla and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased tins. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
