In the latter case drain it and let cold water run through it. Beat the cream, and add the syrup gradually when the cream begins to thicken. Fold in the rice. Put in cold place. If maple sugar is used instead of syrup, it should be finely shaved and sprinkled over the whipped cream piled over the rice. Servings, 8.
