Spider Corn Cake

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon shortening
• 2 eggs (well beaten)
• 1 1/4 cups corn meal
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups sour milk
• 1 cup sweet milk

Instructions

1. 1Melt shortening in spider. Mix all the rest of the ingredients except sweet milk. Put the mixture into the spider, pour the milk over it and cook on stove one minute and then bake in a moderately hot oven for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
