Peanut Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon butter or other shortening
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

1. 1Cream shortening, add sugar, well beaten egg, milk, and flour which has been mixed and sifted with baking powder and salt. Add chopped peanuts last. Drop from a teaspoon on greased tins. Bake in a moderately hot oven for 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
