Maple Biscuit

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- Maple sugar
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients together, cut or rub in shortening, add milk gradually to make soft dough that can be handled.
- Roll out to one-half inch thickness, and cut in rounds.
- Brush half of them generously with softened butter, spread thickly with finely grated maple sugar and put together in pairs.
- Place in greased pan, and bake in hot oven for 20 minutes at 450 degrees.
