Ham with Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients
- 1 pound ham
- 2 cups sliced sweet potatoes
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Have the ham cut in a slice about two inches thick, put into cold water and bring to simmering point. Pare and slice the sweet potatoes. Cut ham into pieces for serving, but fit into bottom of baking dish as one slice. Put in potatoes, sprinkle sugar over them, and pour hot water over all. Bake in a moderate oven, basting often with the syrup in dish. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
