Ingredients
- 1 cup dates cut in pieces
- 1/4 cup chopped walnut meats
- 1/2 cup chopped raisins
- 1/2 cup sliced orange peel
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup water
- Baked pastry shells
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients. Cook slowly five minutes. Cool. Fill individual shells and top with meringue. Sprinkle with cocoanut and brown slightly in oven. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
